Andean crops

In Taquiles island there are people of Inka ancestry who speak Kechua. I have no photos, because the guide told us they don't like it, since they are rather shy, reserved people.
They cultivate Oca, a plant with tubercules (The one with the yellow flowers) and potatoas, wich have blue flowers.

They also have sheep to obtain the wool. Women colour and prepare the threads, and the men knit. They make hats, belts and bags, which are said to be the best in Peru. In more ancient times, they would knit so well and so tight that it could be possible to carry water in one of those bags.
